The Walking by Faith group and the Mazi Productions hosted the Music listening session in Soshanguve block G, on the 15th of July 2012 to showcase the up and coming artist Nyembezi Mahlangu and her group. The music listening session was Just to give the community a taste of what to expect from the group.
The group was started on the 15th of March this year, by Oupa Nkosi from Soshanguve after he realised that the youth from Soshanguve have a lot of talent but they don’t get exposure. So he started this group with the aim of empowering the youth, and help them realise their talents “We want to plant the seed of hope within our youth and we hope to create a musical kingdom within Soshanguve, and above all help our youth to realise their dreams.” He said
The Community members came in numbers to support local talent and show their support, one of them is Mr. Brian Mokone, who is a close neighbour but never knew what was going on in the garage until yesterday “I have always heard the noises in the garage, but never knew what was going on. Until today, I am really proud of the group, and I wish them all the best in their music career.” He said
One of the people who attended the session is Ntombi Gama, and she was happy about the performance “I am really honoured to be part of the audience because the group did their session here at home, this shows that they value and respect us as their supporters and I think this strategy is going to work well for them.” She said
