WHAT IS A MOTHER?

M-motivator, mother always motivates her family, she is more than wife. She is a pillar of strength in the family, without her, the family is incomplete. There’s no stalling when she’s around, she is a blessing to her family. (Proverbs31 v 10)
O-organizer, where there’s a mother things are always in order and they are always organised. What would we really be, without these women? What would this world be without them? Guess it would be like a garden without lilies or roses. (1Samuel 25v18)
T-teacher, today I can cook, iron my clothes even wash them and that’s because of a mother. She taught you respect and you are who you are because of her. So LOVE and RESPECT her, she deserves it.
H-helper, a mother doesn’t just teach you how to do things; she also takes an initiative to help you. What a marvelous person she is, she takes her time in naturing you, she’s always there when you fall. Please don’t take her frogranted, she’s a real friend.
E-encourager, whenever you are disappointed or hurt, they will always be there to encourage you and lift you up. They are always there with their best advice, they have this God given wisdom and they so understand. One more thing you can’t lie to them, wether you like it or not.
R-responsible, no matter what you think of them, they know best and they can groom us into becoming responsible man because they are responsible too. An apple tree cannot bear oranges or pears but it produces fruits after its own.
They are our MOTHERS, let us show them how much we LOVE and appreciate them. Let us allow the seed, they have planted in us to grow and produce good fruits.

Critical Thinkers.

Action heroes speak about the audience that they thrill. So it's understandable that ''The Matrix,'' a furious special-effects tornado directed by the imaginative brothers Andy and Larry Wachowski. Aiming their film at a generation bred on comics and computers, in creating a movie that captures the duality of a laptop. The most important things any attentive viewer need know is that Keanu Reeves makes a strikingly action hero, that the martial arts dynamics are impressive (thanks to Peter Pan-type wires for flying and inventive slow-motion tricks) fiction. These are some of the movies that show the battle being waged between man and computer: Neat tricks here echo ''Terminator'' and ''Alien'' films, ''The X-Files,'' ''Men in Black'' and ''Strange Days,'' Nonetheless whatever he brothers do here is good enough to give ''The Matrix'' a strong identity of its own.

Neo who is the main character who is gradually made to understand that everything he imagines to be real is actually the handiwork of 21st-century computers. These computers have subverted human beings into battery like energy sources confined to pods, and they can be stopped only by a savior modestly known as the One.
We know even before Neo does that his role in saving the human race will be a biggie. The film happily leads him through varying stages of awareness, much of it explained by Laurence Fishburne in the film's philosophical-mentor role. Mr. Fishburne's Morpheus does what he can to explain to Neo and that the Matrix is everywhere, enforced by machine figures in suits and sunglasses. ''The Matrix'' is the kind of film in which sunglasses are an integral part of interesting staged fight scenes.
With enough visual to sustain a steady element of surprise (even when the film's most important Oracle turns out to be a grandmotherly type who bakes cookies and has magnets on her refrigerator, that’s so down to earth), ''The Matrix'' makes particular virtues out of lighting effects, lightning-fast virtual scene changes (as when Neo wishes for guns and thousands of them suddenly appear) and the martial arts stunts that are its single strongest selling point. As supervised by Yuen Wo Ping, these airborne sequences bring Hong Kong action style home to audiences in a mainstream American adventure.
Age restriction: (Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian). It includes strange, unreal forms of violence and occasional gore.
THE MATRIX :
Written and directed by the Wachowski Brothers; director of photography, Bill Pope; edited by Zach Staenberg; music by Don Davis; production designer, Owen Paterson; produced by Joel Silver; released by Warner Brothers. Running time: 115 minutes.
WITH: Keanu Reeves (Neo), Laurence Fishburne (Morpheus), Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity), Hugo Weaving (Agent Smith) and Joe Pantoliano (Cypher).

Are Our Sisters Exploited ?

OPINION PIECE
By: Matthews Paseka Menyau
The Mr. and Miss residence was well organised, the crowd was entertained by good music. Some of the students also show cased their talents, in singing and dancing. The lighting and the sound equipment were of top quality, the masters of the ceremony also did their work very well. On the other hand ladies (audience) couldn’t stop cheering for the guys (contestants), while the guys (audience) also cheered for their favourite girl. But I felt disappointed when I saw my sisters, wearing transparent  lingeries instead of simple bikinies. Personally , I felt it was unethical and uncalled for, for the ladies to contest in their lingeries. To make things worse they wore bunny ears and knee high stalkings of cause, how can  I forget high hills. What happened to the tradition of beauty pergeants, where ladies wear simple bikinies?  I felt it was disrespectful and degrading for our sisters. One of the contestants was wearing a red lingerie, and I  was able to see through.
She probably didn’t have any  problem with that, because she was there to contest and she brought it herself. The most important thing is that, our sisters were exploited and from my point of view were made to wear like strippers, and I feel that their integrity and respect was compromised, all in the name of Mr. and Miss Residence. Instead of honouring the ladies, because it is after all, women’s month they chose to degrade them and insult their womanhood. What message does this send out,  about the organisers?
